Peter Graves again, this time in a ludicrous 'invasion' movie. Graves is an atomic scientist who flies over the top of atom bombs as they detonate(!?) and collects data. One one mission his plane goes into a nosedive and the pilot is killed. Graves however, mysteriously survives...and reappears at the laboratory gates a short while later. A story unfolds concerning giant spiders and cockroaches, a lie detector, and a bunch of hilariously pop-eyed aliens who perform open heart surgery with welding torches. After appearing in stuff like this and It Conquered the World, Peter Graves must have wondered if he would ever get a decent role again. Landing the part of Jim Phelps in Mission Impossible must have been like playing Hamlet for the poor guy! More interplanetary impostors from Sneaky Elephant SOON!
