I moved into my new house today, but the estate agent must have lied...it's THE HAUNTED PALACE!!! Roger Corman produced this wonderful mix of Edgar Allen Poe and HP Lovecraft stories to great effect. Everyone's favourite master of horror Vincent Price plays both the innocent Charles Dexter Ward and his diabolical ancestor Joseph Curwen, occasionally both at the same time! Gorgeous Debra Paget plays Mrs Ward, and Lon Chaney Jr lurks in dark corners, scaring her out of her drawers more than once..Also here is that familiar staple of movies for several decades, ELISHA COOK JR! Furthermore, there is a distant retarded relative of Kermit the frog, hiding in the basement and impregnating the local girls with his spawn.Matters come to a head when he tries to get his slimy flippers on Mrs Ward, and all hell breaks loose.Enough talk, go and watch it...
