This classic 1932 film by Todd Browning was so over the top it was banned in the UK for over 40 years and withdrawn in the USA within days of release,due to the fact that most of the actors were REAL FREAKSHOW PERFORMERS. These wonderful (but different) people included the Three Legged Boy, Randian the Seal Man, the Pinhead Sisters and many more.If only I had been around back then they could have had THE ELEPHANT MAN too! Also stars Billy Barty, possibly the best known 'midget' actor of the 30's and 40's. He plays Hans, a well off freakshow performer who falls for Olga, the beautiful but greedy trapeze artist who is secretly plotting to get her hands on his money with the help of the circus strongman. Will she pull it off...or will the Freaks get their REVENGE??? This tale of love,deceit and horrific retribution shocked audiences when it was released, and still has the power to make you sweat to this day. A CLASSIC!
